It's been two-months since my last page upload. I can see many people still come here expecting the next update. This is encouraging and at the same time I feel bad about not updating. Well, I am still here and haven't gone away.

Right now I am waiting on Daz 3D to fix the latest releases of their Daz Studio rendering software. This as many of the regulars know is what I am using to render the pages for Valeria. The problems with the latest versions are many, and some vary depending on plug-ins used, etc. It is just frustrating to waste time in rendering and it has just put me off.

The state of the Daz Studio software is abysmal right now. The latest version caused so many problems for other people that I just decided not to install it. Daz 3D is currently working on fixing the problems and I have opted to wait and see what others report before I commit to installing any of the latest Daz Studio versions.

Oh, and the reason I don't use a previous version that was working is that once you update your Daz Studio software and use it, you have to stick with it as you will loose the ability to open any of the new scenes with the older versions if you try to downgrade, and this, too, can affect the plug-ins as some will not work in earlier versions of Daz Studio. If attempt it, I will make things worse not better. So, I am stuck.

I will try and see what I can do to start updating Valeria again with the version of Daz Studio I currently have, but it will take time and plenty of patience.

Hi,

Welcome!

I hope you are enjoying Valeria, the online graphic novel.

Even though Valeria is being presented in 3D format, I hope this will not discourage you too much. I understand that there is a backlash against such online comics (webcomics) and I can understand why. Some reasons are valid, like the characters looking like manikins (expressionless) or the action not being completely delivered to the reader (this I will also try to address with the use of motion blur where appropriate).

I have thought about this webcomic a lot and have exhausted a lot of time, resources, and money. So this is a very great incentive to provide you with the best entertainment my resources and talent can muster.

This is my first attempt at an online comic and the reason for it being in 3D is that I am not an artist, and the 3D scenes (frames) I compose are the only feasible way for me to bring the webcomic to you.

Valeria is based on one of two novels I never found the inspiration to finish. The title of the original novel was different. The name Valeria was chosen for the comic version because the name fits better with the theme of the Vampire myth—I think. It is inspired as well by the name of the 3D Poser figure being used to represent the protagonist.

Thanks for reading and I hope I will keep you entertained.
